CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT OF CHARTER/BYLAWS

Tandem Federal Credit Union, Charter No. 04787
Warren, Michigan

WHEREAS, formal request has been submitted by the officials of this federal credit union that the following amendment of its charter/bylaws be approved:

Section 5 of the charter of the Tandem Federal Credit Union is hereby designated as a Multiple Group common bond as follows:

"The field of membership shall be limited to those having the following common bond:

  1. Employees of the Warren Truck Assembly Plant, Daimler Chrysler Warren Stamping Plant, Lynch Road Forge Plant, Amplex Plant, Sales Division in Center Line, Michigan, divisions of Daimler Chrysler, who work in Warren, Detroit, or Center Line, Michigan; (Revised 01/29/99)
  2. Employees of General Dynamics Land Systems Division who work in Warren, Michigan;
  3. Employees of Local 140 UAW-CIO;
  4. Employees of the Daimler Chrysler Winfield Plant who work in Detroit, Michigan; (Revised 01/29/99)
  5. Employees of Fleet Tires Sales, Inc., who work in Warren or Detroit, Michigan;
  6. Employees of J.G. Welding & Maintenance, Inc., who work in Warren, Michigan; (05./24/94)
  7. Employees of Handy Home Products, who work in Warren, Michigan; (02/08/99)
  8. Groups of persons with occupational common bonds which are located within 25 miles of one of the credit union's service facilities, which have provided a written request for service to the credit union, which do not presently have credit union service available, and which have no more employees in the group than the maximum number established by the NCUA Board for additions under this provision:  Provided, however, that the National Credit Union Administration may permanently or temporarily revoke the power to add groups under this provision upon a finding, in the Agency's discretion, that permitting additions under this provision are not in the best interests of the credit union, its members, or the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund; (08/25/94) (Deleted 10/25/96)
  9. Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union;
  10. Employees of this credit union;
  11. Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment;
  12. Members of their immediate families; and
  13. Organizations of such persons."

AND WHEREAS, the amendment is in the best interests of the members and is not inconsistent with Law,

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act, the foregoing submitted amendment of the charter/bylaws of the Federal Credit Union No. 04787 is hereby approved February 8, 1999, subject to adoption by the board of directors in accordance with Article XXI of the Federal Credit Union Bylaws.
